CBD Information
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, commonly known as CBD, is a natural compound
derived from the cannabis or hemp plant. It has gained significant attention
for its potential health benefits. Unlike THC, CBD does not produce a
"high" or intoxicating effect.
There are 2 main types of CBD:
·
Full-spectrum products contain a range of
cannabinoids, including trace amounts of THC (but not enough to cause a high).
·
Broad-spectrum products contain multiple
cannabinoids but are THC-free.
All our
products contain Broad-spectrum CBD.
CBD is available in various forms, including but not limited
to:
CBD Oil and Tinctures: These are liquid extracts of
CBD that can be taken sublingually (under the tongue) for quick absorption.
Vaping: Vaporizing CBD oil allows for inhalation of
the vapor, which is absorbed through the lungs.
Edibles: CBD can be infused into a variety of edible
products, such as gummies, chocolates, and beverages.
Benefits of CBD –
Pain Relief & Anti-Inflammatory Effects: CBD has
anti-inflammatory properties, which could be effective in managing pain and is
helpful for conditions involving inflammation.
Anxiety and Depression: Research suggests that CBD
could help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Sleep Disorders: Most people report improved sleep
quality and reduced insomnia symptoms after using CBD. However, the effects can
vary from person to person.
Heart Health: There's some evidence to suggest that
CBD might have a positive impact on heart health by reducing blood pressure and
potentially benefiting the cardiovascular system.
Differences
between Vaping & Ingesting CBD –
Vaping –
Vaping is a method of consuming CBD by inhaling vaporized
oil or e-liquid using a vape pen or vaporiser.
Vaping CBD allows for rapid absorption into the bloodstream,
which leads to quicker onset of effects compared to other methods like oral
ingestion. Due to its rapid absorption, CBD can offer fast-acting relief from
acute pain and can help with managing symptoms of anxiety and stress. Some
people also use it for conditions like migraines or pain flare-ups.
Vaping is often considered more convenient than some other
methods of CBD consumption, as Vape pens are portable and can be used
discreetly.
Ingesting –
Ingesting refers to consuming CBD orally, typically in the
form of capsules, oils, edibles, or tinctures. This method allows CBD to be
absorbed through the digestive system.
Ingesting CBD generally has a slower onset compared to
methods like vaping, as it needs to be digested and metabolized. Effects can usually
take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours to be felt, this also leads to a
longer-lasting effects compared to other methods.
CBD taken orally can also help manage pain &
inflammation. Due to these anti-inflammatory properties Ingestible CBD can be beneficial
for those with gastrointestinal issues like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or
inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
CBD also has the potential to lower blood pressure supporting
cardiovascular health. Ingesting CBD before bedtime has also been reported to
help support healthy sleep patterns.
It's recommended to start with a low dose and gradually
increase until the desired effects are achieved.
To Keep in Mind/Considerations
–
CBD has been the subject of ongoing research to explore its
potential benefits for various health conditions, while there is promising
evidence for many of these potential benefits, it's important to note that more
research is needed to fully understand CBD's effects and mechanisms of action.
It's important to keep in mind that while many people have
reported positive experiences with CBD, individual responses can vary, it’s
advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before using CBD,
especially if you're considering it for a specific health concern and to
discuss its potential benefits and any potential interactions with other
medications you might be taking.
CBD can interact with certain medications, potentially
affecting their efficiency or causing adverse effects. It's important to
consult with a healthcare professional before using CBD, especially if you're
taking other medications.
For consistent effects, it's important to maintain a regular
